Pursuant to the provisions of the Act on Electronic Communications - ZEKom-2, in particular the provisions governing the management and allocation of numbering space (Articles 47, 100 and 101 of ZEKom-2), the Agency for Communications Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia is publishing a public call for interested public opinions.
The Agency has received an application for the allocation of a 4-digit 1977 speed dial number and intends to take a decision on it in an administrative procedure.
As this is a limited and scarce numbering resource, there is a possibility that the interest in assigning that number exceeds its availability. In order to ensure efficient use of the numbering space and to ensure equal treatment of all interested parties, the Agency is issuing this public call for tenders.
In accordance with Article 9 of the General Act on the Numbering Plan (Official Journal of the RS, No 55/23 and 124/23), the number 1977 belongs to the set of numbers of the form 19P(Q(R)), which are intended for access to services or services of public importance provided on the territory of the Republic of Slovenia by operators or other natural or legal persons in accordance with the ZEKom-2 (e.g. (e.g. medical and social assistance services, roadside assistance, assistance to disabled persons or foreigners, information on public transport, notification of disruptions to the infrastructure of public services, weather notifications, etc.).
On the basis of this call, the Agency wishes to identify the number of potential other interested parties who meet the above conditions for obtaining the right to use the number and therefore invites all interested parties to express their interest in being allocated the 1977 number.
If it is established that there are more than one interested party for the 1977 number, the Agency will carry out a public call for tenders before issuing a decision, otherwise it will issue a decision on the assignment of the number to the applicant in the framework of the general administrative procedure, provided that the conditions laid down in the ZEKom-2 and the by-laws are fulfilled.
The deadline for submitting comments, proposals and expressions of interest is 30 days from the date of publication, i.e. up to and including 24.6.2026.
