The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia hereby informs the public that Pošta Slovenije d.o.o., as the universal postal service provider, will be operating postal services on an adjusted basis between 29 June and 1 July due to exceptionally high temperatures; this means that there may be deviations from the usual delivery times or delays in certain areas. Pošta Slovenije has not suspended the provision of the universal postal service and will ensure the greatest possible coverage given the circumstances.

According to an official forecast by the Slovenian Environment Agency, a red weather warning has been issued for the period from 29 June 2026 to 1 July 2026, a red weather warning has been issued for most of the Republic of Slovenia due to extremely high temperatures, which are expected to reach up to 40 °C locally.

During this period, Pošta Slovenije will adjust its services to ensure the safety of its staff, introducing organisational measures such as:

• adjustment and reorganisation of working hours (earlier start to deliveries),

• increasing the frequency of breaks,

• ensuring a sufficient supply of drinking water,

• the use of appropriate protective equipment,

• temporarily restricting deliveries during periods of peak heat stress.

Once the extreme weather conditions have passed, Pošta Slovenije will resume normal provision of the universal postal service. Based on the current weather forecast, this could happen as early as Thursday, 2 July.
