On the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day, the Agency for Communications Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia stresses that protecting the rights of consumers is also an important priority for the regulator. The Agency is the competent authority for resolving complaints from end-users, i.e. the general public, in the fields of electronic communications, postal services and rail transport. This means that, once a complaint procedure has been initiated with the providers of these services, users can turn to the Agency to protect their interests.
In 2023 alone, the Agency dealt with a total of 890 cases of consumers in the fields of electronic communications, postal services and rail services who contacted the Agency with a complaint or dispute. The most frequent disputes brought by consumers in the electronic communications sector against operators are those relating to unjustified billing or non-performance of services. The Agency publishes quarterly statistics on such cases, the latest of which can be found in the link.
