Fourth Consultation of the Platform on Access to Audiovisual Media Services for Persons with Sensory Disabilities
Udeleženci posveta platforme Dostopnost senzorno oviranih oseb do avdiovizualnih medijskih storitev

The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia informs the public that it has organised and held the fourth consultation of the Platform Accessibility of Sensory Disabled Persons to Audiovisual Media Services, which took place at the Agency's headquarters. Participants included representatives from disability organisations, operators, audiovisual media service providers and many other experts who contribute to the regulation of accessible services.

The participants discussed the envisaged amendments to the Regulation on more detailed conditions for accessibility of services providing access to audiovisual media services for people with disabilities.

At the same time, a presentation was made on the work of the technical team which, within the Platform, is actively addressing the challenges of subtitle distribution between broadcasters and operators. The participants also touched upon the user guidance on the inclusion of accessibility techniques by operators and the issue of the capacity of technical support of operators to work with persons with disabilities.

By raising and addressing the challenges of ensuring accessibility, the Agency actively contributes to finding the best solutions to make services accessible and to meet the legal obligations of service providers, thus contributing to the inclusion of people with sensory disabilities. The Agency would also like to thank the participants for their active participation.
