The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia hereby informs the interested public that frequencies in the 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2600 MHz bands and any other new bands will be newly awarded following a public tender procedure with a public auction, in accordance with the provisions of Article 68 in conjunction with the provisions of Article 47 of the Law on electronic communications. It is obliged to do so following the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Case C-562/23 of 27.2.2025 and the judgment of the Administrative Court of the Republic of Slovenia in Case I U 1622/2021-42 of 7.5.2025, according to which the extension of the validity of existing decisions on the allocation of radio frequencies to operators for the provision of public communications services to end-users, granted in 2014, is not allowed.
