Report on the electronic media market and the Agency's work for the second half of 2020

The bi-annual report provides an overview of the situation of the official registers of audiovisual media services and radio licences, and gives an insight into the state of play of the current and closed tenders for the allocation of radio frequencies for analogue sound broadcasting and tenders for the allocation of broadcasting rights in digital broadcasting.

The state of play of the process of preparing the new five-year (2020-2025) strategy for the development of radio and television broadcasting under the Agency's remit is described, as well as the procedures for adopting amendments to the Media Act and the Audiovisual Media Services Act. One radio programme was granted the status of a local radio programme of special interest during the period. This period was also marked by the measures taken in the wake of the Covid-19 epidemic, which had a major impact on the handling of judicial, administrative and other public law matters dealt with by the Agency during this period.

The Agency continued its activities in the field of online media and information literacy through the MiPi web portal (www.mipi.si). The 20 articles published on the portal were marked by the Covid-19 epidemic, which has had a major impact on our lives.
