The Agency publishes a new proposal for a General Act on the authorisation to pursue radio or television broadcasting activities

On 29 January 2026, the Agency for Communications Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia published on its website a proposal for a General Act on the authorisation to carry out radio or television broadcasting activities. With a view to supplementing the draft General Act in Article 6, the Agency is publishing a new draft General Act on the authorisation to carry out radio or television broadcasting activities and invites the interested public once again to submit comments, suggestions or amendments to the draft Act, which it has prepared on the basis of the Media Act (ZMed-1) , up to and including 9 March 2026.

The General Act lays down the procedure for issuing, amending, transferring and terminating a decision on a licence to carry out a radio or television broadcasting activity (hereinafter referred to as the 'licence') to a broadcaster (hereinafter referred to as the 'broadcaster'), the programme requirements for the carrying out of the activity which the broadcaster must specify in its application, the conditions under which it may amend them, and the more detailed content of the licence.

Any comments, suggestions or amendments should be sent in writing to the Communications Networks and Services Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, Stegne 7, 1000 Ljubljana or by e-mail to info.box@akos-rs.si.

The Agency informs the interested public that, for the purposes of publication, comments must be submitted in a format that complies with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act. When submitting, please be sure to reference 0073-1/2026.
