The Agency informs the public about the publication of a call for views on the draft Digital Network Act

The Agency for Communications Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia would like to inform the public that the European Commission has published an invitation to the professional and general public to provide feedback on the proposal for a Digital Networks Act (DNA), which aims to modernise EU telecoms rules and strengthen the Digital Single Market.

The proposal is the next step following the publication of the White Paper - "How to manage Europe's digital infrastructure needs?". on 21 February 2024, and aims to ensure secure, fast and reliable connectivity for the transition to cloud services and artificial intelligence.

The Digital Network Act proposal aims to:

  • Improving access to very high speed broadband, both fixed and mobile,
  • encouraging investment in modern digital infrastructure,
  • Ensuring greater security of Europe's communications networks,
  • strengthening the competitiveness and digital resilience of the European Union.

The Digital Networks Act (DNA) proposal can be found in full here.

The initiative is part of the Digital Economy legislative package for the period 202-2029.

The deadline for feedback is 14 April 2026. All contributions received will be summarised by the EC and forwarded to the European Parliament and the Council of the EU to support further legislative debate.

As part of the Digital Networks Act (DNA) initiative, the European Commission is publishing the opportunity for public participation in the legislative process on Have Your Say. The portal is the European Commission's official platform for public consultation, through which citizens, businesses, regulators, the professional community and other stakeholders can comment, make suggestions and give their views on legislative initiatives before they are finalised or adopted.
