The Agency for Communications Networks and Services hereby informs the interested public about the change of the date of the 2nd Consultation on the Strategy of Regulatory Measures to Accelerate the Phase-out of the Copper Network in Slovenia. The consultation, originally scheduled for 13 November 2025, has been postponed to 8 December 2025 at 09:00. The consultation will take place at the Agency's headquarters, Stegne 7, Ljubljana.
The Agency has published the strategy following the public consultation. The copper roll-out raises a number of issues that need to be addressed appropriately, taking into account the widest possible range of views of relevant stakeholders. The Agency held a consultation of the interested public on this issue in June with a view to engaging with operators, as announced as one of the actions in the Strategy. The preparation of this consultation is a continuation of the activities initiated at the original meeting. The planned topics for this workshop are to review the implementation of the Strategy and to explore how to address the identified challenges of replacing the copper network with open fibre broadband networks.
