Updated Call for expressions of interest from verticals for the assignment of radio frequencies for private local area networks in the 3800-4200 MHz band

The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia publishes an updated Call for Expressions of Interest for the assignment of radio frequencies for private low- and medium-power local area networks in the 3800-4200 MHz band, which describes the procedure for expressing an interest in the assignment of radio frequencies for WBB LMP and the procedure and conditions for assigning the radio frequencies in question. In doing so, the call sets out the criteria by which the Agency will determine whether certain radio frequencies will not be locally available to all interested parties and will need to be put out to tender before issuing an ODRF.

The Agency published the first Call for Expressions of Interest for the allocation of radio frequencies for private local low- and medium-power networks in the 3800-4200 MHz band on its website on 5 June 2025. On 29 August 2025, the Civil Initiative on Electromagnetic Waves and 5gnetworkslo submitted comments to the Agency with an annex entitled "5G Risk: A Scientific Perspective", as well as STN Services, Kontron, Nokia, Cinkarna Celje and Luka Koper. The comments were published on 12 September 2025.

On the basis of these, the Agency has now prepared an updated call and questions to the interested public, which can be found in section C of the call documentation. The interested public is again invited to submit their responses, opinions and comments on the Call for Proposals to the Agency's address (Stegne 7, 1000 Ljubljana) or by e-mail to: info.box@akos-rs.si, by Friday 6 March 2026 inclusive. When sending, please refer to the reference number 38144-3/2025.
