The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia will be taking part for the first time this year in the Festival for the Third Age, the largest event for older people in Slovenia, which takes place from 29 September to 1 October 2026. The agency’s staff will introduce visitors to content on media and digital literacy, as well as the safe, confident and considered use of digital services, which the agency publishes on the MiPi portal for media and information literacy.
📱 At the AKOS stand, visitors will have access to useful content, resources, quizzes and practical advice on how to engage more safely with the digital and media world. Partners from the MiPi network, which brings together more than 25 domestic and international organisations and institutions, will also be taking part in the activities.
🎤 On the very first day of the festival, at 2 pm in Lecture Theatre M2, Petra Zupančič, editor of the MiPi portal, will present key media literacy skills. She will discuss how to spot online scams and fraud, how to recognise content created using artificial intelligence, what to do if you fall victim to a scam, and where to find help and further information.
👉 You are invited to visit the AKOS stand, test your knowledge and talk to the agency’s staff about taking a safer step into the digital world.
A detailed programme for the Festival for the Third Age is available on the event’s website.
