The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia would like to inform the public that on 21 and 22 January 2026, as part of its chairmanship of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC), the Agency paid a working visit to the BEREC headquarters in Riga.
The Agency's representatives were given a comprehensive overview of BEREC's support processes and work organisation by BEREC management. Discussions covered key areas including the management of the Working Groups' programme, the preparation of public consultations, support to BEREC bodies, communication activities and administrative and financial processes.
On the second day of the working meeting, the Director of the Agency, Mr. The participants discussed the challenges of the respective Working Groups, institutional cooperation and practical orientations to ensure a consistent, transparent and efficient implementation of the BEREC Work Programme. An important part of the meeting was also devoted to communication activities to present BEREC's key messages.
In this context, attention was also given to the preparation of BEREC's response to the Digital Networks Act (DNA) proposal just published by the European Commission, as well as to the first guidelines for the preparation of the 2027 Work Programme, which BEREC will start to develop in the first half of this year.
The working meeting further strengthened the established cooperation and laid the foundations for a successful and content-rich Chairmanship of the Agency in 2026.
