The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia informs the interested public that the Ministry of Digital Transformation invites comments on the draft tender documentation for the public call for proposals for co-financing the construction of open very high capacity fixed broadband networks or upgrading of existing fixed networks (GOŠO7).
The call for tenders will allow the co-financing of the construction of open very high capacity fixed broadband networks or the upgrading of existing networks (GOSHO7), which will allow white spot households to have reliable access to electronic communications services with a typically available download speed of at least 300 Mbps in the upstream direction and at least 100 Mbps in the downstream direction.
The call for tenders foresees co-financing of up to 75% of eligible costs, which will be provided by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The amount of the funds foreseen in the call for tenders amounts to more than EUR 10 Mio in the cohesion region of Western Slovenia and more than EUR 16 Mio in the cohesion region of Eastern Slovenia. More than 6 thousand network connection points are expected to be built in the period from 2026 to 2028.
