The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia publishes a report on its work in the field of regulation and supervision of electronic media for the first half of 2022. The half-yearly report provides an overview of the state of play in the field of legislative activities during the period. An amendment to the Law on Audiovisual Media Services entered into force and the Agency drafted 6 general Agency acts. The amended AVMSA gave the Agency new competences in the field of video-sharing platforms and accessibility of audiovisual media services for people with disabilities. The Agency has also set up an online contact point for people with disabilities.
During this period, the Agency also hosted the first meeting of the partner organisations of the Media and Information Literacy project - www.mipi.si. In the radio sector, the call for tenders for the allocation of digital broadcasting broadcasting rights in the East R2 and West R2 areas was closed and activities were launched for a new call for tenders for 10 new rights on this network and for the allocation of analogue sound broadcasting radio frequencies.
