The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia invites the interested public to a consultation on the Regulatory Strategy to accelerate the de-carbonisation of the copper network in Slovenia. The consultation will take place on 13 November 2025 at 9.00 am at the Agency's headquarters, Stegne 7, Ljubljana.
Following the public consultation, the Agency has published the Strategy. The copper roll-out raises a number of issues that need to be addressed appropriately, taking into account the widest possible range of views of relevant stakeholders. The Agency held a consultation of the interested public on this issue in June with a view to engaging with operators, as announced in the Strategy as one of the actions. The preparation of this consultation is a continuation of the activities initiated at the original meeting. The planned topics for this workshop are to review the implementation of the Strategy and to explore how to address the identified challenges of replacing the copper network with open fibre broadband networks.
