Public call for expressions of market interest for the construction of high-capacity networks or the upgrade or extension of existing networks with a transmission speed of at least 100 Mbps to the customer throughout the territory of the Republic of Slove

The Agency for Communications Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia hereby informs the public that, pursuant to ZEKom-2, it is publishing a public call for expression of market interest for the construction of next-generation broadband networks or the upgrade or extension of existing networks with a transmission speed of at least 100 Mbps to the user, available 24 hours a day, every day, regardless of the number of users present on that network, throughout the territory of the Republic of Slovenia over the next three years.

Demonstrated market interest means that the interested investor in electronic communications networks will, within three years at the latest, make available to the households on the attached list, at their addresses, network connection points with a transmission speed of at least 100 Mbps to the user, available to the user on a daily basis, 24 hours a day, irrespective of the number of users present on that network. Households not interested in connecting to the next generation broadband network at the time of construction shall be able to do so at any time in the future. Investors shall, after construction, enter the constructed or enabled FTRs in the Register of Network Connection Points in accordance with Article 15 of the ZEKom-2.

The public call for expression of market interest is in line with the Agency' s new competence in testing market interest in the construction of high capacity networks.
