The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia would like to inform the public that the 64th Plenary Meeting of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) elected a new mini-board and Chairperson of the Body for the year 2027. Alejandra de Iturriaga Gandini from the Spanish regulator CNMC (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) was elected as Chairperson.

The Agency's Director, Mr. Marko Mišmaš, who will be the Chair of BEREC in 2026, was thus assisted by a mini-committee composed of elected Vice-Chairs, representatives of the other BEREC member regulators. These are Klaus Steinmaurer (RTR, Austria), Michel Van Bellinghen (BIPT, Belgium), Sarah Jacquier-Pelissier (Arcep, France), Giacomo Lasorella (Agcom, Italy) and Robert Mourik (ComReg, Ireland), who has been BEREC Chair this year and will act as outgoing BEREC Chair next year.

The BEREC Mini-board is in charge of strategic planning and coordination of BEREC activities. Each member is responsible for overseeing a specific area of work. The Vice-Chairs have, among others, two main tasks, namely to replace the Chairperson in the event of his/her absence and to support specific sets of BEREC Expert Working Groups assigned to them by the Chairperson.

More information on the election results is available on the BEREC website.
