The Agency for Communications Networks and Services invites the interested public to a consultation on the Regulatory Strategy to accelerate the switch-off of the copper network in Slovenia. It will take place on 6 October 2025 at 13:00 at the Agency's headquarters, Stegne 7, Ljubljana.
Following the public consultation, the Agency has published the strategy. The copper roll-out raises a number of issues that need to be addressed appropriately, taking into account the widest possible range of views of relevant stakeholders. The Agency has already consulted the interested public in this respect with a view to engaging with operators, as announced in the Strategy. The Agency is continuing the activities it has initiated, and the planned topics of this consultation are to review the implementation of the Strategy and to explore how to address the identified challenges of replacing the copper network with open fibre broadband networks.
