The Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia publishes a report on the rail services market and the Agency's activities for 2022. In the report, the Agency notes that:

• in 2022, the volume of work performed in rail freight transport on the network of the Republic of Slovenia remained almost unchanged compared to 2021, with a slight increase in the volume of goods transported;
• SŽ - Tovorni promet has the largest market share of 78% on the freight transport market in 2022. This market share is lower year-on-year compared to competing carriers, but has increased slightly in 2022 compared to the previous year;
• similarly to 2021, the situation in passenger transport has improved again in 2022, as the trend in passenger transport has started to increase again compared to 2020, when the drop in traffic due to the measures related to the COVID-19 epidemic was significant.
